They will develop chalk pastel techniques, implementing concepts of unity and texture while building art vocabulary. Your young artist will demonstrate unity through repetition and proximity in chalk pastel compositions, and create texture by applying impasto with chalk dust and gesso, intentionally using specific color palettes for emphasis. They'll even have the opportunity to recreate Wilson's "Green River Gorge, Taos," applying these newfound techniques.
