Jackie Friel
Jackie Friel is a PreK-2nd grade Art Teacher on Cape Cod.
Jackie firmly believes in the arts as a therapeutic outlet
for children and adults and that it is important to promote
individuality, build confidence, give support and praise to
promote the love of creativity with all learners. Her
hobbies include spending time with her husband, Dillon,
their French bulldog, George, jewelry making, crocheting,
painting, swimming, and walking on the beach. Jackie is so
excited to start this creative journey with Outside the Box
Creation, and we’re so excited to have her!
The mission of May’s project is to open kids up to the world
of color and encourage them to know that there’s no right or
wrong in color mixing, just like there’s no right or wrong
in art.

About Zen Doodling
Children will be learning the art of doodling! There is no wrong way to doodle, you just have to make your mark! Start small and watch a line turn into patterns as it fills the page with designs and imagination. For this box we can learn about the history of ZenTangles and how it was created to have artists relax and doodle.
Have you ever just doodled in class?
Let your mind wander and with a pen or pencil in hand… you make a line, a smile, a squiggle.. watch that small mark grow and fill a space. Well, that doodle helped your brain focus by allowing your mind to relax and take in more information.
Children will learn a tool to help them relax while creating.
