I’m a homeschool mom to an 8, 4, & tag along 2 year old. I felt our current curriculum was not enough legitimate art (leaned more towards crafting) and wanted to bring in more solid art lessons. We got our first box & my daughter spent 90 minutes working on the first project because she enjoyed it so much. I did one with her and had just as much fun!
My daughter and I love your monthly boxes! The materials are amazing and last for several projects. The books we have received have piqued my daughter’s attention and are engaging. Your box allows my daughter to learn a new art skill along with a bit of information about the technique or an artist. The QR codes are extremely helpful in learning a new technique.
My favorite thing about having the subscription was that it lowered the opportunity cost of doing art. Setup and planning was a real hindrance to our home arts education. The kids would draw, play with play dough, and build things on their own. I was so happy to have an arts option that exposed them to different materials and techniques without dictating the product.

Each box contains a picture book that relates to the project to inspire & set a context, written easy to follow instructions with a QR code & link for a resources page with video tutorials and other resources, and all of the art supplies needed for the project. We assume you have regular pencils & scissors.
Projects are designed for elementary school ages – roughly 6-11. Younger kids will need a little more parent involvement than older kids. That being said, we have many customers who have kids ranging from 5-17 and they tell us that each child is able to work successfully at their own level because of the way we write the instructions!
Regular size boxes come with enough supplies for 1-2 kids. Large boxes come with enough supplies for 3-4 kids. We don’t provide multiples of everything – when designing each box, we carefully consider which supplies can easily be shared and which supplies each learner should have, taking into consideration keeping the cost affordable for you, the ecological impacts, and also not wanting to fill your home with unnecessary supplies.
No! No parent art experience or expertise is required! In fact, we think it’s best to discover the projects with your kids!
Our boxes & digital memberships are all available either in pre-paid 3 or 6 month periods or on a month to month basis.

We design our projects with enough structure for everyone to feel relatively successful – balanced with lots of encouragement for kids to make their own creative decisions. Our projects can work for your family whether your homeschooling is traditional, classical, unschooling, Charlotte Mason, Montessori, a literature based method, if your child is deschooling, or if you want to take the projects or boxes on your worldschooling adventures!
Many of our homeschool art customers split up the activities into 3 or 4 shorter weekly lessons. We don’t do “one and done” projects. The first week they may read the book together and discuss. There is always a main project that gives kids the opportunity to do at least a couple of pieces of art. Then, there is a Taking It Further section to give kids an additional challenge. We don’t re-package art supplies into tiny containers like many kits do. So often, you will have supplies left over so that your kids can keep exploring the month’s theme and art medium until next month arrives!
Yes! Each box contains a picture book that relates to the project to inspire & set a context for a built in literature tie in. Then, often, projects tie in with history, writing, or science.
Our digital memberships are the same great projects but all delivered digitally. Each month you receive a new project with resources & videos. We give you a list of necessary supplies with links to purchase only what you need from Amazon while also giving you suggestions for using what you have at home already, like “We used watercolor for this project but if you have tempera or acrylics those will work too!” The digital membership is available in pre-paid or month to month options just like the boxes.
